The People’s Millions contest, offering grants that benefit local communities, goes live on the ITV Wales Tonight evening news programme next week between 24 to 28 November.
The best runner-up that chalks up the most phone votes will also win a grant to be the fifth winner, announced on Friday, November 28.

Grant Programme One - Silver Surfer Network Grant of up to £4‚500
This grant will be available for the development and expansion of existing community ICT Projects. In order to be eligible for the Silver Surfer Network Grant Programme‚ applicants will need to demonstrate how their application links with existing community initiatives.
Grant Programme Two - Digital Inclusion Support Grant of up to £500
This grant will be available to support the ongoing development and work of local community projects.
The grants are intended to support project costs‚ including: volunteer costs‚ transport costs for outreach in rural places‚ and the purchase of equipment not related to computer hardware or software (i.e. a projector).

The Community Facilities and Activities Programme (CFAP) is a grant scheme operated by the Welsh Assembly Government to help community and voluntary organisations provide facilities or carry out activities which will promote the regeneration of communities. From October 2007 CFAP is a capital-only funding programme with the focus on funding smaller bids from grass roots organisations and providing them with pre-application support.
Applications to provide match funding for European grants are considered in the same way as others and are assessed competitively to ensure that the available funds can help the most deserving projects.
